I’m Kent Larson. I’m a dad, husband, and writer. I continuously strive to improve in each of these roles. I’m a USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author who writes about topics I think are important, such as theology and education.
Several years ago, I had a sort of “conversion experience” regarding the overarching purpose of the education process and the effectiveness of the current model. This led me to the homeschooling movement, of which I had always been a staunch opponent. Through a strange sequence of events and significant research, I transformed from homeschooling adversary to advocate. My family’s subsequent success has resulted in a passion for sharing the possibilities with everyone who will listen.
I also really love to write about theology! I’ve been a student of the Bible for more than three decades. At an early age, I committed to pursuing the truth wherever it might lead, proceeding to seek out the toughest challenges to the Christian worldview. I’m not afraid of tough questions, striving to present a bold and authentic treatment of the most challenging and controversial Biblical topics. A vast body of theological work already exists, and my goal is not to rehash the many excellent (and some not so excellent) books and teachings already available. I only write when I’m convinced I have something worthwhile to add.
I have a degree in Economics from Pepperdine University and have spent more than 25 years as a technology entrepreneur. I’m currently living and homeschooling in southern California.
